Drawings that
step off the page.
Illustration, fine art prints, and hand painted sculpture. Every figure begins as a drawing and is finished one at a time by hand.
Selected work
A drawing comes first. Some of them stay on paper. Some become objects.
Prints
Archival giclée prints on heavyweight cotton rag, signed on the reverse. Shipped flat in a rigid mailer.
Sculpture
Each piece is sculpted from one of Pooneh's own drawings, cast in resin and painted entirely by hand. Editions are numbered and close for good once they sell out.
About
Pooneh Nik is an illustrator and sculptor. She has spent years as a children's book illustrator and painter, and now brings the same characters into three dimensions.
Every sculpture starts as a drawing. It is modelled, cast in resin, and then painted by hand in small numbers, which means no two are ever identical. The small differences are the point.
Replace this with Pooneh's own words. Two or three short paragraphs in her voice will do more work than anything else on the page.

Editions are small and most sell within a few days. The list is the only place releases are announced ahead of time. No more than one email a month.
